The 37th Annual Historic Homes Tour
Presenting the 37th Annual Historic Homes Tour
We at Poudre Landmarks Foundation are dedicated to bringing the history of Fort Collins to our amazing community. The PLF is also dedicated to the safety and health of our community, so this year brings exciting changes to our format to insure social distancing while still providing a look at the architecture and stories of our town.
The 37th Annual HHT features hi-tech, immersive, 360-degree virtual reality tours via Matterport. These exclusive tours are repeatable and packed with nuggets of historic and architectural info. This year’s tour showcases several styles of Old Town Fort Collins historic buildings built between 1879 and 1931: Victorian, Gothic Revival, Queen Anne, and turn-of-the-century Craftsman.
This year, we are pleased to offer a series of audiobook-style lectures by renowned local historian and author Barbara Fleming to accompany the tour, and artwork by Emma Mannino.
The HHT ticket includes a free, docent-hosted tour of the Avery house. The Avery House is open to guests Saturday 11am-2pm and Sunday 1pm-4pm. Admission to the event also includes a free tour ticket to be used at the Avery House in the future, and permanent access to the virtual tours from anywhere! Learn more, and preview the experience with a virtual tour of The Avery House below!
Ticket buyers will be emailed instructions and an access code for attending the virtual tours through the web portal. Ticket holders will receive an emailed exclusive link to the virtual tours and a digital information packet containing historic information, instructions on how to use the portal, digital tickets to print, a BOGO coupon for future Avery House tours, and instructions on how to use Matterport!
The 2021 historic Homes Tour is sponsored by generous donation to PLF by The Group Inc. and other business and community donors.

The Hoffman House is a Craftsman style home, built about 1924. It has a low-angled roof, simple front gable and exposed rafter tails, details associated with the Craftsman style. The Arts and Crafts movement began in England in the late 19th century, as a reaction to the manufactured and overblown Victorian houses and décor. In the United States, the movement influenced a new style of houses with a handcrafted feel, simpler designs, and a more open layout.
